Manchester United in advanced talks to sign Ligue 1 star?

Manchester United are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Lille to secure the signature of Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe.
The 24-year-old had an impressive 2018/19 season with the Ligue 1 side and he contributed 23 goals and a further 12 assists across all competitions.
Owing to this, he has been linked with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton in recent weeks, but The Times suggests that Manchester United have the edge in the player's pursuit.
The same publication adds that the club are on the desperate hunt for an experienced option on the right side of the attack and Pepe seemingly fits the bill, given he is a natural for the position.
Lille are currently reluctant to accept anything less than £70m for the winger and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils are prepared to meet the transfer demands.
United have already spent more than £60m on Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka and they are now said to be on the cusp of signing Harry Maguire in a deal worth £80m.
