Danny Welbeck struggling to find new club
Former Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck is struggling to find a new club owing to his current £100,000-a-week wage demands, a report from The Sun claims.
The England international, who spent the past five seasons with the Gunners, is available on a free transfer this summer after the north London giants decided against renewing his contract.
West Ham United, Everton and Newcastle United have all been credited with an interest in signing him, but so far, there has been no progress in terms of a deal with any of those sides.
According to The Sun, Welbeck continues to attract interest from the Premier League but his £100,000 a week demands in addition to a £5m signing-on fee has put off potential suitors from making an approach.
The same publication claims that Serie A side Lazio also hold an interest in the former Manchester United graduate, although they are likewise in disagreement over the salary demands of the forward.
Welbeck missed the vast part of the previous campaign with an ankle damage and that played a part in his release from the Gunners, given he has previously been sidelined with a couple of season-ending knee injuries.
