Manchester United stunned by Paul Pogba's comments

Manchester United are understood to be astonished with the comments made by midfielder Paul Pogba in the aftermath of the club's 4-0 league win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Earlier in June, the Frenchman openly suggested that he wanted a new challenge away from the Premier League after spending three years with the Mancunian giants.

Thereafter, he had generally remained quiet with regards to his future until last weekend where he admitted that there are still 'question marks' regarding his position at the club.

According to The Mirror, the Red Devils have been left stunned by the comments made by the former Juventus man, who is still regarded as a transfer target for Real Madrid.

United are understood to have quoted a hefty asking price of £170m for the World Cup and so far, Los Blancos have shown no intention of meeting the price tag.

There are nearly three weeks remaining for the Spanish transfer window to conclude and it remains to be seen whether United consider the midfielder's sale, should Los Blancos meet their demands.
