Rojo off to Fenerbahce?

Argentine defender Marcos Rojo could finally pursue a fresh challenge away from Manchester United amid the concrete interest from Fenerbahce.

Rojo has barely played for the Red Devils over the past year and he made just six appearances during the course of the previous campaign.

Earlier this summer, Everton were widely linked with a move for the 29-year-old but a move did not materialise with the Toffees reluctant to meet the £25m asking price before the English transfer deadline.

As such, it appears that United have resorted to accepting a temporary deal from an overseas club instead and Turkish Football claims that Fenerbahce are favourites to land him on a season-long loan.

Rojo has three more years remaining on his contract with the Red Devils, but his prospects of making the starting lineup appear bleak with the competition in the central defensive and left-back positions.

United have recently recruited Harry Maguire to bolster the heart of the backline. Elsewhere, Shaw is the undisputed choice on the left side of the defence with Ashley Young and Diogo Dalot available to deputise for him.
