Michy Batshuayi set for Chelsea exit this week?

Roma want Batshuayi

Roma are reportedly prepared to make a loan approach for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuay with the option to buy at the end of the campaign.

The Giallorossi are currently doubtful regarding the future of Edin Dzeko, who has been linked with a move to Inter Milan before Sunday's transfer deadline.

Irrespective of this, it appears that the Rome-based outfit are keen on pursuing another marksman and Sky Italia claims that Batshuayi is one of the options being considered.

The same report claims that the club are keen on negotiating a temporary deal for the striker with the option for a permanent purchase when the 2019/2020 campaign concludes.

Batshuayi is currently the third-choice striker in the Blues ranks behind Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham and he was not named in the matchday squad for the recent league opener versus Manchester United.

It is unclear whether the Belgium international will feature in the European Super Cup against Liverpool tonight after making the travelling squad for the game in Istanbul.
