Lampard delighted with home fans' support

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has appreciated the support offered by the club's faithful after coaching the Blues for the first time at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side produced a mixed performance which contributed to a 1-1 draw against Leicester City, but the fans were still appreciative of the efforts of Lampard, who is the club's all-time leading goalscorer.

Speaking after the stalemate, the Blues boss said that he is delighted with the response for the club's supporters, though the result did not pave the way as planned.

"This is home for me and I really appreciated the support. It's my club, I played here so long and I'm slightly disappointed we didn't get the win but I'm thankful to the fans," he told BBC Sport.

The Blues have now gone three games in all competitions without a victory but they have jumped out of the relegation zone after a share of the spoils against the Foxes.

Next up, they are scheduled to face Norwich City on the road on Saturday and the game won't be straightforward with the Canaries looking impressive especially on the attack front. Teemu Pukki has scored each of their four goals this term.
