Real Madrid plotting late swoop for Tottenham Hotspur star?
Real Madrid are planning a late approach to secure the signature of midfielder Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The Dane has less than a year remaining on his contract with Spurs and he has made no desire to extend his stay with the club.
According to The Sun, Los Blancos are now waiting for the closing stages of the Spanish transfer window before making an attempt to pursue Eriksen.
The same publication suggests that the 27-year-old has yet to change his contract stance at Spurs and the club could be tempted to accept Los Blancos' package of around £60m.
Eriksen was apparently offered to Manchester United before the English transfer deadline, but the move did not materialise with the Dane holding the ambition of playing in the Spanish La Liga.
The former Ajax graduate played from the beginning of the recent league clash against Manchester City where Spurs secured a hard-fought 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
