Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms transfer talks for South American star
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that the club are in transfer negotiations with a number of clubs regarding Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez is presently stepping up his fitness after a hamstring problem and reports have emerged that Inter Milan are desperate to land his services.
With respect to that, Solskjaer has confirmed that there is indeed interest in the forward and a decision will be made over the attacker's future before the European transfer deadline on September 2.
"There are still talks with some clubs. He's working hard and let's see in September what's going to happen," he was quoted as saying in a press conference covered by The Mirror.
At present, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are the only striking options at the manager's disposal with Solskjaer yet to offer young graduate Mason Greenwood with a run in the position.
Sanchez can perform the centre-forward duties as shown from his time at Arsenal and his departure may potentially leave them short of players in the centre-forward department in case of an injury.
