Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms double injury concern for Manchester United
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that both Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are on the treatment table following the recent 2-1 league defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.
Shaw picked up a hamstring problem during the opening half of the contest and he was thereafter replaced by Ashley Young, who gave a good account of himself from the left side of the defence.
Martial, meanwhile, played through the entirety of the fixture but he happened to struggle in stoppage time with an injury which restricted his movement when the club needed him the most.
In a report covered by the club's official website, Solskjaer acknowledged that both players are on the sidelines but hopefully, they can recover ahead of the forthcoming league clash in the South Coast.
“We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully they won't be too bad and maybe we can have them training during the week.” he was quoted as saying in the post-match press conference.
United are currently fifth in the standings with four points on the board. They are scheduled to face Southampton at St Mary's this weekend before the international break arrives.
