Mesut Ozil's future at Arsenal in doubt?
Mesut Ozil's Arsenal future has become the subject of speculation once more after he was not included in the matchday squad for the club's Premier League meeting against Liverpool last weekend.
The former Germany international missed the start of the campaign due to a security threat involving teammate Sead Kolasinac following an attempted car-jacking incident on the duo last month.
Since then, Ozil has returned to complete training with the Gunners after recovering from an illness but he was still not included in the squad for the recent Merseyside trip.
According to The Mail, there are fresh doubts over the midfielder's future with the club with manager Unai Emery ignoring him for the Reds clash despite his return to full fitness.
The same report claims that Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Valencia are among the sides, who could offer an escape route for the German, although his £350,000-a-week wages remain a stumbling block.
Arsenal suffered their first defeat of the season against Jurgen Klopp's side. Despite a 3-1 loss, the club are still occupying the third spot on the table after three games into the league campaign.
