Henrikh Mkhitaryan set for AS Roma move
Arsenal attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks set to make the move to AS Roma on a season-long loan before the European transfer deadline.
The Armenia international has failed to find the consistency in his performances since making the switch from Manchester United in January 2018 and he now appears on the verge of joining the Giallorossi.
The former Borussia Dortmund man has already been spotted arriving in Rome ahead of his temporary deal and BBC Sport reports that the playmaker will join on a year-long loan without the option to buy.
It is added that the Serie A side will pay the majority of the player's £200,000-a-week wages and the Gunners are optimistic that they can sell the 30-year-old for a reasonable price next summer, provided he is successful at the Stadio Olimpico.
Mkhitaryan recently featured for the Gunners as a second-half substitute in the 2-2 league draw against Tottenham Hotspur. Arsenal are presently just outside of the top four on goal difference.
