Manchester United set to offer youngster with new contract
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to reward forward Mason Greenwood with a new long-term contract..
The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the best young graduates from the academy and he has already earned some gametime under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
With the recent departures of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku, Greenwood has been afforded with cameo roles in each of the opening four league games but he may earn more playing time in the long run.
According to The Athletic, the teenager is now on the verge of landing a new contract with the Red Devils despite signing his first professional deal towards the end of 2018.
The same report claims that Greenwood will earn around £25,000-a-week with the Red Devils and he could double his salary with the performance-based bonuses included.
Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are regarded as the senior options for the centre-forward role this season but Greenwood is likely to get the chance to impress through the Cup competitions.
