Alexis Sanchez has said that he has no regrets over joining Manchester United despite failing to make an impression with the Old Trafford giants.

Sanchez's move to the Red Devils from Arsenal in January 2018 was appreciated by the majority of the club's faithful but he failed to adapt to the style of play with just five goals from 45 appearances.

As such, there was always speculation regarding his future at the club this summer and he is currently with Inter Milan for whom he has joined on a 10-month loan.

Speaking to BBC Sport, the Chile international has now said that he is glad to have joined the Red Devils and he has no regrets over making the move, he told:

"I'm very happy I went to Manchester United. I've always said that. It's the club that has won the most in England. I wanted to join them and win everything. I don't regret going there."

Sanchez's loan move to Inter sees him reunited with close friend and former United teammate Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian has, however, joined the club on a permanent deal from the Red Devils for a reported fee of £75m.
