Manchester United to make January move for Tottenham Hotspur star
Manchester United are reportedly planning a January approach to secure the signature of Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Dane, who has just 11 months remaining on his current Spurs contract, was heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer.
Real Madrid were touted to make a late move to secure his services but ultimately, a deal did not materialise before the European transfer deadline.
According to The Mail, the Red Devils have been given encouragement after Los Blancos failed to sign Eriksen and they are now prepared to make a winter swoop for the Denmark international.
The Mancunian giants have received widespread criticism from a section of their supporters as they could not pursue a creative midfielder before the English transfer deadline.
Apart from Eriksen, Sporting's Bruno Fernandes has been another player on their radar over the past year and there are suggestions that United could return for his services when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
