United to swoop for Kroos?

Manchester United are reportedly planning a winter bid of around £67m in order to secure the services of midfielder Toni Kroos from Real Madrid.

The Germany international was supposedly on the Red Devils radar during the summer transfer window but the experienced midfielder decided to sign a new long-term deal with Los Blancos instead.

According to Bild, the Mancunian giants still hold an interest in signing the former Bayern Munich man and they are prepared to make a renewed approach at the turn of the year.

It has been previously claimed that the United may demand the services of Kroos in Paul Pogba's potential move to Los Blancos in January, but Bild suggests differently with the club willing to make a separate bid for the German World Cup winner.

Kroos has been on United's radar since their time under David Moyes and he came close to joining the Red Devils in the summer of 2014 only for Louis van Gaal to veto the move.

The Red Devils are short of experienced midfield options following the departure of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera this year and the club have been fancied to make at least one midfield addition in January.
