Frank Lampard reacts to Tammy Abraham's superb performance against Wolves
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has heaped praise on Tammy Abraham, who bagged his maiden Blues' hat-trick in the 5-2 thumping of Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road.
The west London side have experienced a mixed beginning to the current campaign and it was anticipated that they could have a tough outing against Wolves at the Molineux.
However, they managed to outclass the hosts with a comfortable 5-1 triumph and Abraham was the standout performer with his maiden hat-trick in the club's colours.
Speaking after the game, Lampard said that he is delighted for the Blues' graduate, who has now scored seven goals in the past three appearances for the Capital outfit.
"I am so delighted for him. I know how hard the academy works and Tammy has an enthusiasm to score goals and he has a fantastic approach to the game and how he wants to progress. All three goals were so different, it just shows what he can do," he told Sky Sports.
With the victory, the Blues have moved to sixth on the league table and they are presently behind the top four position on only goal difference.
They are scheduled to host Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday night before welcoming Liverpool in the league next weekend.
