United ready new contracts for Lingard and Greenwood

Manchester United are reportedly planning to renew the contracts of Jesse Lingard and Mason Greenwood after sorting out the future of central defender Victor Lindelof.

The Red Devils have placed the emphasis on extending the deals of first-team regulars and they recently confirmed that Lindelof has signed a long-term contract until June 2024 with the option for another 12 months.

According to The Mirror, Lingard and Greenwood could be the next players in line for contract renewals with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanting to stick with a settled squad for the long-term.

Lingard, who is currently contracted to United until the summer of 2021, has been the subject of criticism from the fans for his performances but he has nonetheless earned the backing from Solskjaer for his workrate and high pressing.

Greenwood, 17, only signed his first professional contract in October last year but the club are keen to reward him with a new and improved deal after watching his progress.
