Solskjaer confirms three starters for Astana game

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed three starters for tonight's Europa League opener against Astana at Old Trafford.



The Red Devils boss has already favoured the involvement of younger players with the likes of Scott McTominay, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka featuring regularly this season.

Speaking ahead of the Astana game, the Norwegian has revealed that he will definitely rotate his squad, considering the congested schedule in the forthcoming weeks.

He added that Axel Tuanzebe and Mason Greenwood are expected to be handed with their maiden starts for the season while goalkeeper Sergio Romero will get the nod over David de Gea between the sticks.

Apart from the trio, another young graduate in Tahith Chong could be handed with a starting role after impressing during his 20-minute cameo in the recent Premier League encounter.

Solskjaer's side ended a three-match winless streak at the weekend as they picked up a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Leicester City at home. Marcus Rashford found the net through the penalty spot in the eighth minute.
