Pochettino to United?

Manchester United could reportedly make a move for Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino following their average start to the current campaign.

The Red Devils were linked with Pochettino following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December 2018 but they opted to recruit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a part-time basis instead.

Solskjaer has since been made the permanent head coach of the club but the Norwegian has recently come under pressure with the Red Devils struggling to pick up regular wins in the league.

According to The Sun, United may revive their interest in Pochettino in the coming months, should Solskjaer fail to improve on the club's results in the Premier League.

Still, the 47-year-old won't come on the cheap and the Red Devils would have to trigger the £32m release clause on the Argentine's contract to lure him from north London.

Both United and Spurs have registered eight points after the opening six league games. Spurs recently bowed out of the League Cup after a shock penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Colchester United.
