Real Madrid to sign Tottenham Hotspur star in January?
Real Madrid are planning to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur contract rebel Christian Eriksen when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Denmark international has declined to sign a new deal with the north London giants and he will be able to leave the club on a free when his contract expires at the end of the season.
However, according to Marca, it is claimed that Los Blancos are looking into a mid-season deal for the playmaker and Spurs would be willing to sanction his sale rather than losing him for nothing next summer.
Spurs had valued Eriksen at around £60m last summer but reports have claimed that they could reduce the asking price to just £25m for the winter transfer window.
Despite Eriksen's contract standoff, he has been a regular for Spurs this term. He has made 11 appearances with six starts and five substitute outings.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in Eriksen but the Dane appears determined to make the move to the Spanish La Liga next year.
