Mourinho being lined up for Real return?

Real Madrid are rumoured to be lining up Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho as a replacement for Zinedine Zidane in January, after a disappointing run of form leaves the La Liga side off of the pace in the league table. Real have important games upcoming with Galatasaray in the Champions League and an all important game with Barcelona to be rescheduled.

Jose Mourinho has been very vocal on television in recent times about his desire to return to football management, particularly in England.

However, at this point it is uncertain where the Portuguese might end up.

The Daily Mirror reports that after the 1-0 defeat to minnows Real Mallorca, the Real Madrid board convened to discuss Zidane's future, with the Frenchman receiving a vote of confidence ahead of Tuesday's key game against Turkish giants Galatasaray. So far this season Real Madrid have been unable to win in the Champions League, with a draw against Club Brugge and a defeat to PSG leaving Zidane under increasing pressure for his own future at the club.
