Chelsea striker to join London rivals in January?

Giroud linked with Palace switch

Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a mid-season deal for Olivier Giroud, who has grown frustrated with his limited gametime with Chelsea this season.

Giroud has managed just 100 minutes of Premier League football since the beginning of the campaign and he has often been left on the bench with Tammy Abraham considered as Frank Lampard's first-choice striker.

According to The Sun, the France international is likely to consider a move at the turn of the year, should his gametime in the Premier League fail to improve in the coming months.

The Eagles were initially fancied to pursue Michy Batshuayi in January but that options seems unlikely with Lampard tending to favour the Belgian for the back-up role behind Abraham.

Aside from Palace, Inter Milan have also been linked with a possible loan move for Giroud but the Frenchman could be tempted to stay put in the English capital where he has spent the past seven years.
