Arsenal legend says young Chelsea star could be Frank Lampard's biggest success
Arsenal legend Martin Keown has heaped praise on Christian Pulisic following his maiden professional hat-trick in Chelsea's 4-2 win over Burnley in the Premier League.
The United States international had failed to make a single league start for more than seven weeks before the Clarets clash but he made the most of the opportunity with a splendid allround performance.
Speaking after the game, Keown lauded Lampard for making progress with Pulisic, who initially struggled to make a meaningful impact in terms of the Premier League.
He told: "Another one of Frank Lampard’s success stories. He’s been sat on the bench for six matches but boy did he take that opportunity today, he burst onto the scene, the prefect hat-trick."
Pulisic has now contributed a goal or an assist for every 80 minutes in the top-flight and he has surely cemented his starting spot on the back of the treble against Sean Dyche's side.
The Blues are presently placed in the fourth position in the standings with 20 points. They are just five points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
