According to ESPN, Manchester United are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Ligue 1 duo Boubakary Soumare and Moussa Dembele. Soumare has impressed in France over the past few seasons and despite being just 20 years of age, has been scouted by many of Europe's top clubs. Manchester United's hierarchy view Soumare as a replacement for Paul Pogba if the Frenchman is to leave the club after his struggles with injuries and form. Soumare is a similar profile to Pogba, possessing the technical ability, strength and versatility to be a very important player for whichever side he plays for. He is valued at around €35 to 40 million bu current club Lille.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are also looking to sign Lyon forward Moussa Dembele in an effort to replace Romelu Lukaku and bring a physically strong and technically talented forward to the club. Dembele was a prolific scorer during his time at Celtic and remains a talented striker at Lyon. He was also strongly linked with a move to United during the summer. The Frenchman would go a long way towards alleviating the struggles that United have experienced in attack. However, Dembele would cost a large fee as he joined Lyon only last year and is considered invaluable by the French side.
