Gary Neville tips Manchester United to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker

Neville approves Eriksen to United

Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes his former club will take the option of signing Christian Eriksen, should Tottenham Hotspur sanction his sale in January.

The Denmark international has just eight months remaining on his existing deal with the north London side and he has apparently decided against penning a renewal.

As a result, he has been tipped to be offloaded by the Capital outfit in January and reports have suggested that United could land him in a cut-price deal worth £30m.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Neville has said that Eriksen would provide an instant improvement on the attacking options at Old Trafford despite the fact that he has been inconsistent with his performances this term.

"[United would] take him tomorrow. I think he would [improve them]. What you're seeing at the moment with Eriksen is a player who is not buying into what's happened. He's disinterested," he said.

Eriksen has made nine Premier League appearances this term but he has contributed just one goal and an assist. The Dane has been poor with his performances in the past four games in all competitions.
