Leicester City, Watford tracking non-league star Sobowale
Leicester City and Watford are both monitoring the progress of 22-year-old striker Ronald Sobowale, who currently plays for non-league club the Walton Casuals. According to a report in the Daily Mail, scouts have been deployed to check up on Sobowale's recent progress.
The striker is currently on a trial with Middlesbrough but it is the Premier League that the player could end up, having already been in discussions with Watford and Leicester City representatives. The striker hopes to follow the success of Jamie Vardy, who too came through the ranks outside of England's top divisions.
Interestingly, Sobowale is the cousin of Austria and Bayern Munich legend David Alaba and has been prolific in front of goal for his team so far this season.
With Leicester City seeking a potential backup for Jamie Vardy, the cut-price 22-year-old could be available for just £200,000 and thus would not break the bank for the Foxes.
Sobowale had been linked with a transfer to Sheffield Wednesday just last season, but a deal failed to materialise.
