Chelsea to compete with Manchester United for French striker
Chelsea are reportedly prepared to compete with Manchester United in the race to sign Moussa Dembele from Lyon at the turn of the year.
The Blues are presently banned from registering new players due to their transfer ban but they are confident of winning their appeal against the embargo.
According to L'Equipe, the west London giants are interested in a move for Dembele, who has also been on the radar of the Red Devils over the past few months.
The same publication claims that the Blues are determined to land the services of Dembele and they are prepared to negotiate a deal whereby he could remain with Lyon on loan for the rest of the season.
Dembele has amassed 26 goals since making the move to Les Gones from Celtic last year. He struggled for a starting role under Sylvinho during the opening months of the season but things have changed under Rudi Garcia.
Dembele has played through the entire 90 minutes of the past four games across all competitions. He has netted in the previous two matches against Metz and Toulouse.
