Manchester United want to re-sign a former player from Crystal Palace
According to The Sun, Premier League giants Manchester United reportedly want to re-sign one of their former players in a deal that could reach £70 million.
The Red Devils are in dire need of pace and creativity and the club think Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is a perfect fit. Besides, Manchester United executives feel he is older and wiser than before.
Zaha has rapidly become a mainstay of the London club. He has scored 32 goals in 175 Premier League matches since his return to Crystal Palace in 2015.
United now want him back to Old Trafford despite his failed stint with them. The Ivorian was Sir Alex Ferguson’s last signing at Manchester United but he did not live up to the £15 million price tag. Zaha only played four times in his time at Old Trafford.
Zaha was on the radar of Everton and Arsenal last summer but no deal was made since both clubs could not match the asking price of £80 million from the Eagles.
