Manchester United confident of agreeing contract deal with Dutch winger
Manchester United are reportedly confident of committing Tahith Chong to a fresh contract beyond the summer of 2020.
The club graduate has been highly regarded by the United youth staff but he has yet to cement his spot with the senior squad and has managed just eight appearances across all competitions.
Chong's agent has recently talked up the prospect of the Dutchman securing a new challenge when his contract expires next summer but Metro claims that the Red Devils are still confident of agreeing on an extension.
It is added that the United hierarchy believe that Chong has gained valuable experience during his short time with the senior squad and he will be assured with more minutes in the coming months under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Dutchman is presently attracting interest from Serie A giants Juventus and the Italian outfit could propose a pre-contract deal in January, should he continue with his contract standoff with the Red Devils.
