Juventus want Pogba re-signed by next summer

Juventus are reportedly aiming to discuss a summer deal for Paul Pogba when Manchester United make the formal approach to sign Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic has been heavily linked with the Red Devils since August and reports have claimed that he will mostly make the move to Old Trafford in January.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are aware that United may consider the sale of Pogba next summer and they are likely to initiate talks for the midfielder when Mandzukic's move to the Theatre of Dreams is being finalised.

Pogba talked up the desire to pursue a fresh challenge last summer and it seemed that he could make the switch to Real Madrid before the Red Devils maintained their not-for-sale stance.

Since then, there has been no resolution over the midfielder's contract which expires in a couple of years' time and reports have emerged that he could prefer a comeback with the Bianconeri instead of joining Los Blancos.

United are likely to demand in upwards of £150m for the French midfielder but the Bianconeri could propose a player-plus-cash deal to reduce the overall valuation for the transfer.
