Manchester United make final decision on Mario Mandzukic
Manchester United have reportedly decided against making a move for Mario Mandzukic when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The Croatian has been regularly linked with the Red Devils in recent months and reports have even claimed that he could begin training with the club in advance ahead of a winter switch.
However, according to The Athletic, that is clearly not the case and the Red Devils have decided to drop their interest in favour of making a move for Erling Braut Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg.
Haaland has been in terrific form for Salzburg where he has already bagged 27 goals this season and reports indicate United are keen to lure him at the turn of the year in order to beat the competition from their European rivals.
The teenager has previously worked with Solskjaer at former club Molde and it is suggested that the Norwegian may not require much convincing to join the Red Devils despite their struggles in the league.
