Everton tracking US forward Josh Sargent
Premier League side Everton have deployed scouts to monitor the progress of 19-year-old striker Josh Sargent, who currently plays for Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. The 6 foot 1 forward has appeared in 12 games for the US National Team and has a healthy return of five goals.
Everton are on the look out for upcoming attacking talent and have identified US forward Sargent as their primary target for a transfer move next season.
The unimpressive form of Cenk Tosun could lead to the Turkish forward being sold by the Toffees, with Besiktas and Fenerbahce both monitoring the situation of Tosun.
Josh Sargent could be allowed to arrive at the Premier League outfit for a fee of around 8 million euros, with the American striker having just 18 months remaining on his Werder contract.
Sargent has forced his way in to the club's first team this season and bagged two goals in seven games in the Bundesliga.
It is understood that Everton could battle with French duo Marseille and Lyon in the race to sign Sargent, whilst there is also interest from Spanish clubs Real Sociedad and Real Betis.
