Arsenal set to increase transfer budget
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to back the new manager with additional funds to strengthen the backline during the forthcoming transfer window.
The Gunners recently ended a nine-match winless streak across all competitions as they picked up a 3-1 triumph over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Despite the victory, the north London side are looking to pursue a permanent manager and an announcement is likely to be made before the end of the month.
According to The Athletic, the club's hierarchy intend to back the next head coach with transfer funds in order to bolster the defence which has looked vulnerable.
The same outlet states that Josh Kroenke - the son of club owner Stan - intends to become more involved with the proceedings at the club from the turn of the year.
Arsenal are currently ninth in the Premier League standings. They are seven points behind Chelsea, who are occupying the final Champions League qualification spot.
