Manchester United offered chance to sign Spanish midfielder for £85m
Manchester United have been handed with a boost in signing midfielder Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid when the transfer window reopens next month.
The Mancunian giants are deemed to have recently enquired regarding the Spaniard's availability but they were put off with Atleti wanting them to meet the £125m release clause on the midfielder's contract.
However, a report from Telegraph claims that the Madrid giants are now prepared to accept a lesser sum of around £85m but any deal would be dependent on Saul's final decision.
The former Real Madrid youngster has nearly seven years remaining on his lengthy contract with Atleti and the Spanish club will let the midfielder decide on the possible proposal from the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, there has been much speculation with regards to the future of Red Devils midfielder Paul Pogba, who is said to be targeting a move to Real Madrid.
United are currently maintaining the stance that the Frenchman won't be sold in January but a possible deal for Saul could coincide with the departure of the World Cup winner.
