Edinson Cavani linked with transfer to Atletico Madrid
Uruguayan international forward Edinson Cavani has been linked with a surprise move to Atletico Madrid on a Bosman at the end of his contract next summer.
The talented striker, currently at Paris Saint-Germain, has been seeking a move elsewhere and is rumoured to be most interested in a transfer to Spain.
Cavani, who has previously had spells playing for Serie A giants Napoli and Palermo, followed by a lengthy stint for Paris Saint-Germain, is rumoured to be looking for a contract worth 100,000 euros per week to move to La Liga.
The veteran striker, aged 32, has also caught the eye of Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United, but it is understood Cavani is most interested in a deal to Diego Simeone's side Atletico Madrid.
So far this season, Cavani has two goals in eight games in Ligue 1 for Paris St Germain. He has scored 50 goals in 118 games for his home country Uruguay.
