Frank Lampard speaks on Wilfried Zaha transfer link
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has clarified that the Blues won't be making an approach for Crystal Palace winter Wilfried Zaha during the ongoing transfer window.
The west London side are currently placed fourth in the standings with 36 points but their form has been pretty average with just three wins from the previous nine league games.
As a result, the Blues are bound to step into the transfer market for new signings and Zaha has been one of the high-profile names frequently mentioned by the media in recent months.
When asked about the same, Lampard clearly stated that the club have never considered a move for the former Manchester United man, he told: "I wouldn’t talk about Zaha and the idea of that deal is something I’ve never even considered."
The Blues are currently five points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United in the standings and they could maintain the gap, should Arsenal beat the Red Devils at the Emirates.
Next up, they have a FA Cup third round clash against Nottingham Forest at home. Lampard is bound to make wholesale changes to the team due to the congested festive schedule.
