Guardiola writes off another car as his Manchester driving woes continue
Pep Guardiola’s managerial reputation maybe beyond compare, but his driving abilities leave a lot to be desired. It’s been reported that the Catalan tactician does not have the best of fortune when sat behind the wheel, after it was revealed that during his time in England, he has managed to write off four different vehicles.
The authors of the book “Peps City: The Making of a Superteam” Lu Martin and Pol Ballus explained that Guardiola; “Has had a reputation for being unfortunate when it comes to motor cars since his time at Barcelona”, before continuing by stating that; “His use of rear view mirrors is non-existent” and that he also; “Had tendencies to fill diesel vehicles with petrol”.
A Mercedes GLE, Range Rover, Bentley GTX700 and a Mini Cooper have all been sent to the scrapyard since his arrival in Manchester bringing his demolition derby total to around £450,000.00. It was his team that did the demolishing on the pitch last weekend however, as they beat Aston Villa 6-1 at Villa Park – a result which still leaves them 14 points behind runaway leaders Liverpool having played a game more.
