Chelsea after Isco?

Chelsea are reportedly looking at the prospect of signing midfielder Isco from Real Madrid before the conclusion of the January transfer window.

Isco has managed just six starts in the Spanish top-flight this season but his gametime has improved over the past month where he has been used from the starting XI in all competitions.

Despite this, there continues to remain speculation regarding his future and El Desmarque has claimed that Los Blancos would be willing to sanction his sale at the right price this summer.

The same outlet adds that Frank Lampard is keen on recruiting a creative midfielder, who can play ahead of N'Golo Kante and they could make a bid of around £47m to land Isco from the Spanish Super Cup champions.

The Blues have so far made no signings in the transfer window and that comes as a surprise, given they were unable to make any additions to the squad last summer due to a FIFA-imposed embargo.
