Manchester United will reportedly be offered the chance to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the ongoing campaign.

The Uruguay international has received limited gametime with Les Parisiens this term due to injuries and the competition for places but he has still managed to score five goals from 14 appearances.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the striker won't be permitted to leave the club this month and Les Parisiens are unlikely to change their stance on the same.

However, they have accepted that the striker won't be extending his stay beyond the summer and the player's representatives have offered United with the opportunity to land his services.

Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have found good success upfront this season with a combined 39 goals across all competitions for the club.

Solskjaer is still said to be eyeing an experienced striker with a physical presence and the club may make contact with Cavani over a possible pre-contract deal.
