Manchester United receive worrying injury update on Marcus Rashford

Rashford out for a few months with double stress fracture

Manchester United are set to be without Marcus Rashford for around three months after the forward picked up a double stress fracture during the FA Cup third round replay against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed earlier in the week that Rashford was struggling with a back problem but he still brought on the marksman for the second half against Wolves in midweek.

That came at a cost as he was substituted within 17 minutes of his appearance and The Times has now revealed that the Red Devils graduate could be out of action between two to three months.

United have been reliant on Rashford to make the difference upfront in recent months and the England international has amassed 19 in all competitions for the Red Devils this season.

His absence may tempt the club to make a new signing in the transfer window but so far, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given no indication that could be the case before next week's deadline.
