Manchester United enter the race to sign German midfielder
Manchester United have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign midfielder Emre Can from Juventus during the current transfer window.
The Red Devils have been on the hunt for a new midfielder this month and Bruno Fernandes has been reported as the prime target for the transfer window.
However, no deal has been struck between United and Sporting for the midfielder and reports have emerged that the negotiations have reached a deadlock ahead of next week's deadline.
As a result, United have begun looking elsewhere for possible additions and Sport1 claims that Can, formerly of Liverpool, has emerged as a transfer option for the Mancunian giants.
Can has barely made the starting lineup for the Bianconeri this term and he is said to be keen on a new challenge in order to enhance his prospects of making the Euro 2020 squad with Germany.
Can made 37 appearances in his debut campaign for the Serie A holders under Max Allegri. In comparison, he has turned out only eight times for the Bianconeri this season with Maurizio Sarri at the helm.
