Edinson Cavani on his way to Atletico Madrid?
Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani has reportedly snubbed advances from Chelsea and Manchester United for a mid-season move to Atletico Madrid.
The Uruguayan recently handed in a transfer request at the French champions and he has since been tipped to head through the exit door with his contract expiring in less than six months' time.
According to AS, Cavani has been the subject of interest from both Chelsea and United but he has rejected a move to the Premier League move in order to join Atletico Madrid.
Atleti have struggled to score goals with regularity in a season of transition for them and manager Diego Simeone wants Cavani to fight with the likes of Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata for the striker's role.
Cavani was initially fancied to join the club on a free in the summer but their recent struggles in front of goal has contributed to them meeting the transfer demands of Les Parisiens. He is currently undergoing a medical in Madrid.
