Former West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United striker Salomon Rondon has reportedly emerged as a target for Manchester United ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline.

With less than 24 hours left of the January transfer window, the Red Devils are still working hard to sign a new striker, who can fill the void left by Marcus Rashford's back injury.

A move for Fenerbahce's Vedat Muriqi is out of the radar after his agent dismissed the speculation but there are several other names mentioned including Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua.

According to The Times, the Red Devils are now said to be considering a move for Rondon, who only made the switch to Dalian Yifang from the Baggies during the summer.

The same report claims the Rondon, who has netted five goals from 11 games for Dalian, could be permitted to leave on loan with United for the remainder of the current campaign.

Manchester United recently announced the purchase of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese has penned a contract until the summer of 2025 with the option for another 12 months.
