Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr shrugs off PSG links
Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has denied the transfer rumours linking him with Ligue 1 giants PSG.
Following the Copa del Rey quarterfinal defeat against Real Sociedad, the Brazilian made it clear he has no idea of leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.
"There's no choice, I want to stay at Madrid," Vinicius told reporters, via Goal.com.
The Brazilian prodigy was linked with a move to the Parisians in January as their Sporting director Leonardo turned out to be a great admirer of him.
Vinicius made his switch to La Liga last year and had enjoyed a good first season with Los Blancos, especially in the Copa del Rey format where he racked up 2 goals and 7 assists.
Though he hasn’t achieved the luxury of being a regular for Zinedine Zidane this season, the 19-year-old proves to be useful in the absence of Eden Hazard.
Vinicius has racked up three goals and two assists in all competitions this season.
Madrid are currently topping the La Liga table, three points clear of arch-rivals Barcelona.
