Valencia eyeing summer move for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin
Valencia are reportedly interested in signing Marseille winger Florian Thauvin.
The French ace has hardly featured for Marseille in Ligue 1 this season following an ankle injury.
According to Calcio Mercato, Los Che are eyeing a summer move for the 27-year-old whose contract is due to expire in 2021, meaning that he can be signed for a cut-price deal.
Thauvin was stupendous in Ligue 1 last term as he racked up 16 goals and 8 assists while finding the net twice in Europa League.
The former Newcastle United star was part of France's World Cup-winning team in 2018 where he was hardly used by Didier Deschamps.
However, Thauvin took part in Euro 2020 qualifiers and scored a brilliant bicycle kick in a game against Andorra.
Elsewhere in Spain, Valencia’s performances have been declined of late, having not won any of their last five games which includes the Champions League defeat against Atalanta.
Albert Celades' side are currently eighth in the La Liga table and will face Real Betis in their next fixture.
