Man Utd handed transfer blow as defensive target could join PSG
Manchester United have been handed a setback in the transfer race for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to Daily Mail, the Senegalese defender, who is also on the transfer radar of PSG, has bought a luxurious apartment in Paris near the Eiffel tower thereby sparkling his transfer speculation.
Napoli have also said to be wanting a fee around £127m for their star centre-back while the Ligue 1 giants have enquired about a discount.
Les Parisiens are looking to replace their veteran defender Thiago Silva whose contract runs out this summer.
This comes as a huge blow for Man Utd as they were believed to be the frontrunners to sign Koulibaly in the summer transfer window. Chelsea and Tottenham have also expressed their interest in the 28-year-old.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has primarily fielded Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire in the defence, with the former one being below-par this season.
United could go for a centre-back in the summer transfer window and are said to be keeping tabs on Real Vallodolid prospect Mohammed Salisu.
