Chelsea looking to agree deal for Serie A midfielder?

Chelsea could reportedly compete with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the race to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio this summer.

The 25-year-old has been on the radar of Premier League clubs in recent years and he was linked with a possible move to the Blues prior to their transfer embargo.

According to FC Inter News, the Blues are likely to look into the possibility of signing the Serbia international this summer after being impressed with his progress with Lazio.

The Serbian has amassed five goals and seven assists for the Capital outfit this term and his performances in the centre of the park have partly contributed to the club's top position in the Serie A.

Chelsea are understood to be eyeing a versatile player in the centre of the park and Milinkovic-Savic perfectly fits the bill, given he can feature in the defensive, central or attacking midfield positions.

Lazio are deemed to value their player at around £85m.
