Frank Lampard confirms fresh injury blow for young winger
Cheslea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi has picked up a recurrence of the hamstring injury while training with the first-team squad.
The England international has been sidelined since February 1 with a hamstring injury but he was anticipated to make his comeback for the Toffees clash.
However, that is not expected to happen and Lampard has confirmed that the attacker is having a scan for a fresh muscular problem which should keep him out for a while.
"Hudson-Odoi had a re-injury and is having a scan later today.“It’s tough for him. He wasn’t rushed back. He did it training back with us. It’s another injury for us," he told via Chelseafc.com.
The Blues are currently holding onto the fourth spot in the standings with a two-point gap over Wolverhampton Wanderers but they have an extra game in hand against Everton.
They are scheduled to host the Toffees in the Premier League on Sunday and the game promises a tough test, considering they have won just six of their 14 home matches this term.
