Arsenal planning move for French centre-back
Arsenal could reportedly seek to land the services of defender Issa Diop from West Ham United when the transfer window reopens in a few months' time.
The north London side are likely to sanction the sale of a number of first-team stars this summer with manager Mikel Arteta wanting to freshen up the squad with new recruits, who are suited to his philosophy.
According to The Mirror, Diop is one of the players on the club's wishlist and the Gunners are aiming to sign him on the cheap, should the Hammers be relegated to the Premier League this term.
Diop has been with the east London outfit since the summer of 2018. The centre-back has managed 64 appearances in all competitions while scoring five goals in the process.
Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the former Toulouse graduate, who has started the last eight matches for the Hammers in the top-flight. Diop was valued at around £50m during the 2019 summer transfer window.
