James Rodriguez keen on joining Everton?

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez is understood to favour a move to Everton over Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

The Colombian was the subject of interest from the duo in January but a deal never materialised before the transfer deadline.

Despite this, he has continued to be linked with the pair and Marca claims that the Toffees are leading the hunt to sign the former Monaco man.

Rodriguez has a fond relationship with manager Carlo Ancelotti from his Bayern Munich days and he is confident that he can be a regular starter at the Merseyside outfit.

Still, the attacker won't come on the cheap for the Toffees and reports claim that Los Blancos are set to demand around £70m for the versatile playmaker.

Rodriguez has been restricted to just 12 appearances for Los Blancos this term, having struggled with a number of minor injuries during the campaign.

Everton are currently 12th in the league standings with 37 points on the board.
